I would like to explain a bit what is Centrenergo. We are state-owned company, one of the biggest thermal power generation companies in Ukraine. Now Centrenergo have stable electricity production despite the challenging environment. We are thermal power plant, that is, our role is to ensure stable operation of the power grid in Ukraine. This is due to the fact that in advance we refilled our coal storages, and now we have enough fuel to operate stably till November. Of course, we work much on diversification of the logistic routes to ensure stable fuel supplies in the future and to ensure stable operation of the energy grid in winter season. In winter season, the intermittency of RES becomes more obvious.
We clearly understand the importance for the energy sector to become cleaner and greener. But the other side of becoming cleaner and greener is intermittency of the renewable energy due to weather conditions and other factors that could influence production from wind, solar and hydro. As a thermal generation company, we are ready to participate in the transformation of the market in order to support sustainable operation of the electricity grid in Ukraine. We believe it to be very important.
As for the trading side, we are ready to the electricity auctions and can offer competitive prices.
Thermal power has marginally higher operational costs than the nuclear power and the hydropower generation. We believe that opening up borders and bringing new players on the Ukrainian market will create competitive environment in which Centrenergo as a thermal power generation company will be able to sell our electricity at a competitive price".
