On April 20, 2023, Energy Club held an online forum dedicated to the one-year anniversary of the synchronization of Ukraine with the Continental European power grid. The forum gathered leading experts and representatives from the energy sector to discuss challenges and achievements in electricity trade between Ukraine and EU countries.
Participants discussed the technical requirements of ENTSO-E needed for unrestricted electricity exports from Ukraine to neighboring EU countries, the implementation timeline, and possible ways to shorten it. They also explored the electricity trading model and potential improvements, the role of exchanges in the trading process, and prospects for traders in the Ukrainian electricity market.
