During the meeting, smartEn representatives introduced participants to the association's goals and activities, as well as the specific areas in which they are active. They discussed the role of active consumers in the transition to a decarbonized and decentralized energy system, highlighting the profit opportunities arising from their business models.
Meeting attendees learned about smartEn's efforts toward the decarbonization of electricity, the economically efficient integration of renewable energy sources, and the "smart" electrification of heating, cooling, and transportation. They also discussed how demand flexibility could change the rules of the game for the energy system.
