"As of today, Ukraine is in a state of liberation war with the Russian invader. On February 24, at 5:00 a.m., the armed forces of the Russian Federation began intensive shelling of Ukrainian cities. The country's energy infrastructure was subjected to unprecedented, horrific destruction as a result of indiscriminate air, missile, and artillery strikes, as well as direct military action. In many localities, the electricity supply is intermittent or absent altogether. In the de-occupied territories, power engineers are surveying the lines damaged during active hostilities and calculating the losses. The results are not encouraging. Even as of the end of March, the damage to the energy industry from the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation amounted to more than $2 billion. At that time, Ukraine became a full member of the European power community by switching to synchronous operation with ENTSO-E. The post-war recovery could give a boost to the Ukrainian energy sector," stressed the President of the Energy Club Andriy Kostritsa.
At the conference we will discuss what could be the way to restore the energy system of Ukraine, what it should be and where to get the money for it.
All interested persons can take part in the conference. Fill out the registration form and wait for confirmation of registration.
