Artem Martyniuk, Vice President of Energy Club, takes over at Ukrainian Distribution Grids

Artem Martyniuk, Vice President of Energy Club, has become the head of Ukrainian Distribution Grids (UDG). Ukrainian Distribution Grids is the only body authorized by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine to carry out corporate governance of state-owned stakes in joint-stock companies operating in the field of electricity distribution.

The relevant order of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine was signed on August 30, 2023.

Brief biographical note

Artem Martyniuk was born in 1976 in Kyiv.

He has a technical degree (National Agrarian University, electrical engineering) and an MBA degree (International Management Institute).

He completed an MBA program in the United States with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the field of American energy business (AES IPALCO, Indianapolis, USA).

He began his career immediately after graduation in 1998 at Kyivoblenergo as a relay protection and automation engineer.

During his more than 20-year career, he has worked in such companies as Kyivoblenergo, Dniprooblenergo, Poltavaoblenergo, Zakarpattyaoblenergo, Volynoblenergo and has risen from an ordinary engineer to CEO (from 2018 to October 2021, he held the position of CEO of Volynoblenergo PJSC).

In 2022, Artem Martyniuk joined the Energy Club team as Vice President. His area of responsibility at the club was the electricity sector and the development of the electricity market.
