From March 21 to 27, Distribution System Operators of the Rinat Akhmetov’s DTEK Grids have restored service to 246,000 houses in 259 settlements of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. Our specialists continue performing emergency and restoration activities and promptly repair lines and substations, damaged by shelling, thus restoring service to customers immediately after obtaining permits from Territorial Defense Forces and Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At 9 a.m. March 26, 110 kV lines that provide electricity to Kyiv were damaged due to the military activities, ongoing near Kyiv, thus leaving residential communities Bilychi, Borshchahivka, Vynohradar and Vitriani Hory without electricity. DTEK Kyiv Grids specialists have restored service to the critical infrastructure facilities, in particular – medical institutions, in an hour. By 8 p.m., company’s workers have completely restored operation of equipment and restored service to 82,000 families. However, by morning of March 28, these lines were once again damaged by shelling. The company is conducting restoration activities.0

Service was restored to 82,500 families in 172 settlements of Kyiv region. DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids has provided additional redundant power supply unit to the hospital in Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district. On March 20, it was left without electricity due to shelling. Now, even in case of damage to one of the lines the hospital will be provided with uninterrupted power supply.

DTEK Donetsk Grids repair crews managed to restore power supply to 77,200 families in 85 settlements of the Donetsk region. Electricians continue working in the hottest spots, restoring service to Avdiivka, Toretsk, Kostiantynivka, Marinka and other districts that constantly suffer from enemy shellfire and experience power outages.

On March 24, “Khersonoblenergo’s” 150 kV line, which also powers DTEK Dnipro Grids consumers, was damaged by shelling. DTEK specialists managed to immediately connect its consumers via redundant power circuits. On March 26, DTEK Dnipro Grids helped repair “Khersonoblenergo” counterparts’ line and restore power supply to some residents of the Kherson region.

Some settlements in Kyiv and Donetsk regions required restoration of power supply on multiple occasions due to constant shelling and damage of electrical equipment in the areas of active military activities. In particular, in Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Lyman directions at Donbass and Makariv, Irpin, Vyshhorod, Borodianka, Ivankiv, Baryshivka, Bucha, Kyiv-Sviatoshyn districts of Kyiv region.

The situation in Mariupol remains complicated. For over 4 weeks, the entire city remains completely without electricity due to damage of the DTEK Donetsk Grids lines and NEC Ukrenergo high-voltage substation that power the city. Due to constant shelling and complete blockade of the city, our specialists are unable to restore operation of the grids that power the city.

Our specialists continue performing emergency and restoration activities. Emergency crews are working non-stop for 33 days in a row in order to promptly restore power supply to settlements, affected by hostilities.

The company cooperates with the Territorial Defense Forces and Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to access damaged sites. DTEK electricians jointly with doctors, volunteers and suppliers of the essential food and medications do everything in their power to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult circumstances.
