17.05 Energy Freedom by Energy Club

Delaying the full imposition of the embargo on Russian oil: a weakness of a united Europe or an economic stalemate?

The Kremlin's energy policy has long been devoid of logic. Only the language of ultimatums and blackmail. The events that we observe around the gas transit are the next example of that, which must stop the force of the sanctions. Actually, that is what we will be discussing with our colleagues during the expert discussion on May 17 at 12:00 p.m.

Key issues for discussion:
  • What are the reasons for the change in the EU's position with regard to Russian oil? Perhaps it is worth introducing restrictions at least on the supply of Russian oil through seaports?
  • How will the Druzhba pipeline work if full sanctions are imposed on Russian oil? Is it possible to reverse the pipeline in this case?
  • Can the EU practically replace Russian oil? If yes, from which sources and through which ports?
  • Should ships be banned from carrying Russian oil regardless of their home port?
  • What price of oil will lead to the default of the aggressor's economy?

Energy Freedom by Energy Club - a discussion of professionals in the field of energy - representatives of government agencies, central authorities, people's deputies, representatives of Energy Club member companies and leading industry experts.

The talk show is hosted by Andriy Kulykov.

The online broadcast will take place on Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. Starts at 12:00.
